The Present
The present, how beautiful. The moment where everything resides, all lives are lived and all decisions made, a place of peace, joy and fulfilment, with each new tick a new present exists.
Past
Past. A time which has already happened, is now but a fading memory. Lessons learned, mistakes made, tragedy struck and the fondest of moments came, from before birth till today what has been lived shall always remain. The past will not change, no matter how much we wish it, what’s happened has happened and there’s so much to learn but to dwell for too long would be a burden for us all. As the past is where we’ve been it’s easy to reside in its pleasures and blame it for our pain. Why take responsibility if my past is filled with such calamity, I am a slave to it, the past holds the power, the present holds nil, oh victim identity what a thrill. Is clinging the answer or acceptance the key, find a reason for everything or just let it be. Much can be learned but not all should be savoured, absorb the information then forget the prostration.
“The past is history, the future is a mystery”
Future
Future. The mighty unknown, we can envision and hypothesise but rarely do we accurately predict. Things change, people do too, three years from now you’ll be a different version of you. An event is incoming, a stressful one indeed, lets picture it now, let it become our steed. Flailing thoughts making us anxious, disaster imbues leaving me thankless. Foreseeing events with such pessimistic desire, when unbeknownst to us what will transpire. The gift of the future is something to plan for but once purpose is set, enjoy each step with where you are now as this is the best preset.
Present
Present. The only moment which ever truly exists. That same moment which we always miss. Our minds filled with our past and our future, sleeping awake is our favourite feature. How long will it take before we awake the most glistening of fates when arriving at the present. Look around, see what is here, where are you now and what do you hear. Escape constant thought, take flight in each moment, here lies a blessing which just needs a little undressing. Strip away the mental façade to avail the most extraordinary wonders, a fountain of beauty which can encompass each duty. Playing or slaving it enriches them both, eating or in a meeting cherish each moment, as to live in the present is to find constant leisure. All the power is now, to decide what to do, you can change in each moment, don’t let imagination make a fool out of you.
