Responsibility

You have the power to govern exactly how you wish to live your life, who you choose to be and how you deal with every situation. It is all on you.

Blame is not the answer

It is easy to blame, blame all those around you, let them carry your weight, your parents, your friends, the system or even your Mr. or missus. This will get you nowhere, a desperately selfish act, commonly unconscious to the one performing it. Is it right for others to be the punching bag of your failure? If so, why do you find yourself constantly repeating the same mistakes? A whiny refusal to adopt responsibility and grow up. Narky with blame instead of the selfless poise from realizing your own omissions. With blame you will fail to realize your own shortcomings, you will pass it on to everyone and everything around you faltering your growth as a consequence.

Your life, Your responsibility

To you, everything which happens, good and bad aligned is your responsibility. This can be through perception or action. If one cannot change circumstances happening or already happened, it is up to perception to deteriorate all limiting beliefs. If suitable change is obtainable all that’s left is action. Intimacy, wealth, strength, intelligence, fulfillment, it is all within your reach. Take responsibility for your current condition, question yourself with complete utter honesty, identify areas of strength, weakness and improvement then leverage it into small steps which fulfill a desired goal. Pull out the notepad, not the phone and honestly evaluate where you are and what you can do. Consistency is key. If you pass this responsibility onto others nothing will ever be within your control.

Responsibility Over Action

Accepting responsibility is coming to terms with the position you are in today and finding appreciation in the fact every choice leads to an entirely different existence. Things as simple as reading or exercising 10 minutes a day will completely alter your life and it is your responsibility to choose and maintain these small decisions. Large verdicts as well, if stuck in a mundane, unsatisfying job that does not meet your demands it is your responsibility to find or create something which elicits that spark. Hurdles too are yours to overcome. “Got bills to pay,” after work, dedicate 30 minutes at night to apply for new jobs or begin that exciting project you’ve always thought about. Everyone is vastly unique in their hurdles, and this is why it is your responsibility to grapple with them. Action speaks ample over who you choose to be and where you end up. Responsibility over all choices and decisions is the foundation to building a healthy happier life. Routine tasks or extensive endeavors if you truly wish for change it is up to you to make the difference you strive for.

Responsibility Over Perception

Holding yourself accountable for everything which happens to you or within your life. This does not mean traumatic experiences from the past are your doing. It means you are the one responsible for sailing that storm.

“We cannot control the cards we’re dealt, just how we play the hand.”

You are responsible for overcoming the circumstances which have been placed on you, you are also responsible for every aspect of where you are here, today. How you dealt with past situations and the way you think and feel has always been your responsibility. Yes it may have been an unconscious development up until now, so what happens when you decide to make it conscious. When events which used to agitate you become a training ground for mindfulness, patience. When instead of dwelling on thoughts already happened, you choose to overcome them. We are responsible for dealing with our life situations. It teaches us, makes us stronger or eludes us into a rut of self-pity, this is your choice and it’s never too late to change. Be the awareness behind your thoughts, oversee them and determine your response in every situation. Someone making you upset? What is the reason for you being upset? What alternative mindset would better suit your wellbeing? You choose the emotions and thoughts you bring to every situation, yes sometimes they are extremely overwhelming and hard to control, if you need to dwell in them a little that is okay. But at a point there is always a choice, to remain stuck or progress further than known before. Your mind is your responsibility, train it into engulfing the harshest of circumstances or let it be the rambler of your shackles.
